CIVIL SOCIETY / ENVIRONMENT

The mission of the Mott Foundation Civil Society and Environmental programs is to support the efforts of an engaged citizenry working to create accountable and responsive institutions, sound public policies, and appropriate models of development that protect the diversity and integrity of selected ecosystems in North America and around the world.    
 
The Environment program is organized into three program areas:
I.   Conservation of Freshwater Ecosystems
II.  International Finance for Sustainability
III. Special Initiatives 
 
Applications are accepted year-round, but those received between September 1 and December 31 will be considered only for the following calendar year
