In conjunction with World TB Day, Eli Lilly and Company has announced plans to invest an additional $50 million in the Lilly MDR-TB Partnership, a pioneering initiative to fight multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) around the globe.

The additional funding, which brings the company's financial commitment to the effort to $120 million, will support a multifaceted approach designed to increase the supply and availability of effective drugs and training for frontline healthcare personnel and focus global resources on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of MDR-TB. The funds will also bolster workplace education efforts to identify TB and HIV earlier and increase the number of countries with strengthened MDR-TB controls. More > > >
