C&Y is pleased to offer you the opportunity to find United States Grantmakers that have the potential to be funders of your organization. Our research programme consists of two elements, either or both of which can be selected dependent upon your particular requirements.
SEARCH
What we do:
Using information provided by you, we search over 100,000 US Grantmakers to find those whose funding and geographical interests are compatible with yours.
What you get:
We provide you with the names and contact details of these Grantmakers, including websites where available. Our report includes Grantmakers that:
- Make grants directly to organizations outside the United States; or
- Make grants to organizations in the United States but whose work is outside the United States.
As a bonus, you will also receive a free 17-page PDF entitled ‘Opportunities America: A Short Guide to Researching and Applying to American Foundations’, enabling you to get the best possible benefit from our report.

SEARCH PLUS
This element of the programme is designed to look at what Grantmakers actually fund, rather than what they say they fund. There may be many reasons for this giving ‘outside the box’, and there will be a degree of overlap with the results found in the first element, but it is still extremely important information for Grantseekers.
What we do:
With information provided by you, a list of national/international organizations with similar interests to your own, we search our extensive database of over 3.6 million grants and find those Grantmakers who have made grants to the organizations on your list.
What you get:
We provide you with a list of these Grantmakers, which includes their names, recipient name, grant value(s), year of grant, and a short description of the purpose of the grant if available. If Search Plus is taken on its own, we will also send you a free copy of the booklet.
