Disclosure
- Chapel & York is not a law firm although it employs lawyers. It is an international fundraising consultancy. Chapel & Yrok cannot guarantee the accuracy of material contained on its website, in its seminars, webinars and workshops and in its publications and takes no responsibility for any action occasioned by its use.

General Terms & Conditions
- 1. All orders are accepted solely on the basis of these Terms & Conditions and no variation of the same is accepted unless expressly agreed in writing by Chapel & York Limited (“Chapel & York”). No oral representations by any person are in any way imported into these terms or form any contract or collateral contract.
2. Chapel & York will provide the service(s) agreed mutually between the client and Chapel & York for the sum(s) stated. Chapel & York requires confirmation from the client before starting any work.
3. The client will pay Chapel & York within 30 days of the receipt of an invoice for sum(s) agreed. When required, Value Added Tax will be charged at the appropriate UK rate.
4. Chapel & York will make either an inclusive charge for work agreed with the client in writing or an hourly rate. Chapel & York will inform the client in writing when an hourly rate will be charged. Chapel & York will provide an itemized account to the client when an hourly rate is charged.
5. All reasonable subsistence, travelling and other expenses incurred by Chapel & York will be reimbursed in full within 30 days upon receipt of a written request to that effect by Chapel & York to the client, provided that the client shall not be liable to indemnify Chapel & York for any expenses without such expenditure being approved in advance by the client.
6. Chapel & York will endeavour to provide accurate information but no warranty is made that such information is up to date or accurate or complete or full nor is any warranty made that any monies, grants, gifts or any other benefit whatsoever will be forthcoming to the client as a result of the work undertaken by Chapel & York or any organization employed, recommended or suggested by Chapel & York.
7. Chapel & York will use its best endeavours to promote the interests of clients and will do nothing to bring the client into disrepute in any manner whatsoever. Chapel & York agrees to treat as confidential and not at any time for any reason disclose to any person or persons or otherwise make use of any information relating to a client’s business affairs or finances where knowledge or details of the information were received as a result of this service and are not in the public domain, unless required to do so by a competent legal authority.
8. When Chapel & York is preparing returns to regulatory authorities for or on behalf of a client, the client will provide information requested by Chapel & York within the period of time allowed by Chapel & York in order to submit the return by the due date. If a client fails to provide information within the period of time allowed and without indicating a reason for failing to provide the information, Chapel & York reserves the right to terminate the agreement with the client immediately.
9. Copyright in all artwork, copy and any other work capable of being subject to copyright, produced or created by Chapel & York at the specific request of the client shall vest in the client.
10. Chapel & York will at all times abide by the UK Data Protection Act and other relevant UK legislation and regulations in relation to the discharge of its obligations under this agreement.
11. Neither party shall be liable for any breach of any term of these Terms & Conditions that is a result of any cause beyond the reasonable control of the party in breach.
12. Either party may terminate an agreement by giving 30 days notice in writing. Items 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 survive termination.
13. The law relating to these Terms shall be the law of England and the parties must submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in London.

The information is provided by Chapel & York and while we endeavor to keep the information up to date and correct, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the website for any purpose. Any reliance you place on such information is therefore strictly at your own risk.
2. In no event will we be liable for any loss or damage including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of, or in connection with, the use of this website.
3. Through this website you are able to link to other websites which are not under the control of Chapel & York. We have no control over the nature, content and availability of those sites. The inclusion of any links does not necessarily imply a recommendation or endorse the views expressed within them.
4. Every effort is made to keep the website up and running smoothly. However, Chapel & York takes no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, the website being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
5. Chapel & York reserve the right to change these Conditions from time to time. Any such change will take effect when posted on the website www.chapel-york.com and it is YOUR responsibility to read these Conditions on each occasion you use the website and your continued use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest Conditions.6. English Law shall apply to these Conditions.

Subject to availability, your place will be confirmed within 7 days of booking. If you do not receive confirmation within 14 days of booking, please contact us at +44 (0) 1342 871910Payment
Payment must be made in full before your booking can be confirmed and must be received no later than 14 working days prior to the start of the seminar/workshop. We reserve the right to re-allocate the course place to another delegate if fees are not paid in time.Transferring courses
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your bookings to a later course date:- At any stage after confirmation is received – 10% administration charge
- 14 working days prior to the event – 25%
- 7 working days prior to the event – 50%
- 3 working days prior to the event – 75%
This option only applies to delegates wishing to transfer to a different date on the same course. The option to transfer delegates can only be used once, after which any movement will be considered a cancellation and any outstanding invoices will remain due irrespective of the number of working days’ notice given for the cancellation.
Substituting delegates
If you wish to transfer a place on a course to another delegate the first change is free and thereafter there will be a 10% administration charge.Cancelling courses
If you cancel
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days prior to the event – 10%
1-20 working days prior to the event – 100%
Non attendance on the day – 100%
In exceptional circumstances, this fee may be waived at the discretion of Chapel & York. In such circumstances, write to the Research Manager giving full details of why you were unable to attend enclosing any supporting documentation e.g. a doctor’s note.Cancellations must be received in writing addressed to Chapel & York Limited, PO Box 50, Lingfield, Surrey, RH7 6FT, via email to research@chapel-york.com or by telephone +44 (0) 1342 871910. All booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details and invoice number must be quoted.
If Chapel & York cancel
Occasionally Chapel & York may have to cancel or postpone a course if we have fewer than the minimum required bookings. We try to give at least 2 weeks’ notice. If this happens we will refund your course fee or transfer the booking to another date, whichever is best for you. We are sorry that we are not able to refund travel or accommodation expenses.Data Protection
Chapel & York complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 in the collection and processing of personal information. We will use the information you provide when booking and additional information you may provide in future, for administering our workshops and seminars. We will not disclose this information to any other person or organisation, except in connection with the above purposes. All course participants are provided with a list of their co-participants’ names and organisations, but no further details are disclosed.Specific requirements

Chapel & York reserves the right to cancel these Conditions if it is prevented from or delayed in the carrying on of its business due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Chapel & York including, without limitation, acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, acts of terrorism, protests, riot, civil commotion, fire, explosion, flood, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies or adequate or suitable materials.Content and Materials
Whilst all reasonable efforts are made to ensure that any information and commentary are accurate and up-to-date, Chapel & York can accept no legal liability in respect of any inaccuracy or incompleteness in such information.Webinars

Your Registration
Your registration includes one virtual “seat” in Chapel & York’s webinar. This means that only one computer and only one telephone may sign in per registration.Booking Deadline
Please reserve your seat at least one week before your desired seminar takes place.Emergencies and Technical Difficulties
Chapel & York reserves the right to vary speakers and/or timing of seminars due to emergency or technical difficulty.If Chapel & York must cancel an event for any reason, Chapel & York’s liability will be limited to the return of your fee.
Payment Policy
For credit card registration, payment is due upon registration.For Invoice Me option, payment is due within 14 working days of the invoice date.
Refunds and Transfers Policy
No refunds or transfers will be given for no-shows.Substitutions may be made if you cannot attend your session, but we must be notified either by email or telephone at least 2 days in advance of your scheduled webinar to accommodate changes.
No refunds will be given due to incompatibility of your computer or telephone system. We strongly advise you check in advance of booking that your systems are compatible (see Technical Requirements for further details).
Cancellations may be made up to 2 days in advance of your class. There is a £5.00 processing fee per class cancelled.
In the event that a seminar must be cancelled by Chapel & York, we will refund your entire registration fee.
If a seminar must be postponed, you will be notified of the new date and given the option to book for that webinar or receive a full refund.
Technical Requirements
Chapel & York uses WebEx for our webinars. To participate in our webinars you will need a telephone and a computer with internet access. A few days before your webinar, you will receive an email giving you details of the link to click on to join the conference. One you have logged in, the WebEx system will prompt you to enter your telephone number, and you will receive an immediate call back connecting you to the audio portion of the conference.NOTE: If you will not be participating from a direct-dial number (your phone number is an extension, for example) you will need to dial into the system directly. Instructions will be provided in the email for direct-dialling in.
System Requirements
A telephone
Any telephone will do, including a mobile phone. Most participants find it easier with a headset or a telephone with speaker.Please ensure that your organization’s telephone system allows you to call toll-free and phone conference centres.
Computer with Internet Access
We strongly recommend that you visit the WebEx website prior to registering for a webinar to ensure that your computer and browser are compatible with WebEx. Technical details on system requirements can be found here and a browser check can be found here - Publications

Chapel & York will invoice you on a pro-forma basis, with the appropriate overseas postage charge added. The books will be sent as soon as payment is received in one of the following ways:- Credit card

For overseas orders delivery times are dependent on the final destination but we are willing to give estimated timings on request.Refunds and exchanges
If you are not completely satisfied with your order for any reason, return it to us in saleable condition within 14 days and we will either credit your account or refund the full cost of the order. Postage is non refundable.- Updated November 2011
